Peace and Equality Cell offers free legal aid and empower survivors of child sexual abuse and gender violence in Gujarat and beyond to heal and access justice

Your heartfelt donations fund vital trainings, awareness campaigns, and shelter collaborations, driving real change against child sexual abuse and violence

We break the silence around child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other gender based crimes and offer a safe environment where survivors find support.
We are a registered non-profit organisation founded in 2012 focusing on access to justice, child sexual abuse prevention, and POCSO law awareness in India. We provide free legal aid to child sexual abuse victims, and conduct trainings on awareness of the law. We have successfully filed a PIL to improve conditions of women’s shelters in Gujarat. We are expanding to other areas in India, most recently have started to work with communities in Bihar from Covid time. We collaborated with civil society organisations in Bihar to provide food in Bhagalpur and later in 2022 conducted POCSO training and awareness work.
Our mission is to empower survivors of abuse, strengthen community resilience, and bring systemic change through legal support, training, and advocacy.
Violence, abuse, and inequality thrive where silence, fear, and lack of access to justice exist. Peace and Equality Cell works at the intersections where systems often fail survivors, especially children, women, and marginalised communities.
PEC does not only respond to abuse after it occurs – it works to prevent violence, strengthen systems, and build informed, resilient communities. From grassroots awareness sessions to courtrooms and policy advocacy, every intervention is rooted in dignity, sensitivity, and accountability.
By supporting this cause, you are:
This is not just charity. It is an investment in justice, safety, and equality, where every person deserves to live without fear and with their rights protected.
Your support makes that future possible.
We work on cases of unconstitutional violence, work with women’s shelters in Gujarat and provide CSA trainings in Mehsana, Patna, Sabarkantha and Ahmedabad districts in Gujarat.
Peace and Equality Cell is an organisation set up under the Society and Trusts Act in 2012. A major part of our work is on delivering access to justice and providing trainings for sexual abuse prevention and raising awareness of the POCSO law.
